Performance

POCO X7 Pro Review

Now the PO X7 Pro Brings the Medatech DTI 88400 Ultra to the Mid-Range for the First Time and This Is a Flagship Killer Chip Which Is a Pair Down Version of the Demens 9400 So It Has All Big Course Oh Yeah the Phone Also Has Two Variants 8256 GB and 12512 GB and Both of These Have Lpdr 5x Ram Type and Ufs 4.0 Storage Now When You Look at the Gig Bench of Course the Poco X7 Pro Easily Beats the Poco X6 Pro and the Poco F6 the Same Is True for At2 as Well We Didn’t Get the 1.7 Million Score That You Know Is Expected from the 8400 Ultra but We Got 1.6 Million Which Is Still Higher Than Both the PO X6 Pro and the Poco F6 the CPU Stability in Our 40 Thre 30 Minute Run Was All Right It We Got About 73% Stability Where the PO X6 Pro and the F6 Actually Scored Higher Now We Also Ran the 3D Mark Wildlife Extreme Stress Test and the Poco F6 Is the Most Stable One Followed by the Poco X7 Pro and the Poco X6 Pro and You Know What Interestingly the Poco X7 Pro Had the Highest Best Loop Score of All the Three Phones in Fact All These Three Phones Also Support Rate Racing So We Ran Solar Bay Rate Racing Test and We Got the Best Overall Score and the Highest Average FPS on the Poco X7 Pro Now in Gental Impact We Got an Average FPS Which Was Actually Lower Than What We Achieved on the X6 Pro and the F6 Which Is Again Surprising Considering That the 8400 Ultra Should Have Performed Better Than at Least the 8300 Ultra.

POCO X7 Pro Review

Now the Poco X7 Pro Also Has a Stainless Steel Vapor Cooling Chamber of 5,000 Mm Square Which Is Good and When We Ran the Genion Impact Test It Didn’t Cross 45° Which Is Like Our Threshold but Neither Did the Poco X6 Pro or the F6 Regardless the Performance Is Very Good and I Don’t Generally Have Any Problem with It It’s Very Fast in Daily Usage and You Can Actually Game on It without Worrying About the Phone Heating Up but What’s Also Alo Very Good on the 8400 Ultra Is the Efficiency and When We Were Battering the Phone Like We Were Playing Games We Were Like Pushing It with Like Multiple Bench Marks We Had to Run Andro Like Multiple Times to Get Like the Proper Score It Still Gave Us Like Over 7 Hours of Screen on Time Which Is Good but When We Use the Phone Normally in Everyday Usage You Can Easily Expect Over 10 Hours of Screen on Time and Poco Managed to Install a 6550 Ma Silicon Carbide Battery in the X7 Pro Which the IU and Realme Could Not and This Is Why I Think Now I Understand This Himansu Tweet Now Before Talking About the Charging Speeds Quickly if You Haven’t Already Hit That Subscribe Button We’d Love Your Support So What Do You Get Inside the Box Is a 90 W Charger It’s a Type a to Type-C Cable So of Course It’s Not a PD Charger and It Could Charge the Phone from 1 to 100% in I Think 45 Minutes Which Is Pretty Good.

Design

POCO X7 Pro Review

Moreover Despite Having That Massive 6550 M Battery the X7 Pro Is Only 8.06 Mm Thick and It Weighs Less Than 200 G Now Granted It’s Made Entirely of Plastic Despite Looking Deceptive Like Glass It Still Is an Impressive Feat if You Ask Me and You Know What I Really Like the Back Design of the Poco X7 Pro Especially in This Black Color It Looks Pretty Classy and More Importantly That Split Vertical Design Is Also a Very Nice Touch I Feel Like the Design Is Definitely an Improvement Over the Poco X6 Pro but It Has the Same Problem That the PO X6 Pro Had and Especially with the Black Color Variant It’s Aggravated Even More and That Is a Fact That It’s a Fingerprint Magnet Although Thankfully Poco Does Bundle a Case in the Box So That Should You Know Relieve Some of That Problem Now the PO X7 Pro Also Has Your Standard Stereo Speaker Setup You’ve Got an IR Blaster and You Also Have a Dual Nano SIM Card Tree as Well but the Typc Port and You Guessed It Right It’s USB 2.0 Which Is All Right Pardonable for This Price Category but if It Was a Phone Like Under 40,000 Rupes or Over 40,000 Rups I Wouldn’t Have Been Okay with That with the X7 Pro It’s Okay the Biggest Upgrade on the Poco X7 Pro Compared to the X6 Pro Is Definitely the Fact That the Ip54 Rating Has Been Upgraded to the Ip69 Now to Give Such a Powerful Processor Silicon Carbide Technology and IP Rating in This Price Range This Is the Madness That Poco Keeps Talking About.

Display

POCO X7 Pro Review

Now the X7 Pro Has the Same 6.67 in Size Uh You Know AMOLED Display So You Got a 1.5k Resolution Ltps Panel Now and It’s a 120 HZ Refreshed Display of Course You Get a Touch Sampling Rate of 240 HZ and There’s a 1920 HZ Pwm Dimming You Know Rating as Well It’s a Very Rich and Vibrant Panel for When You Want It to Be and if You Want the Original Procolor Mode to Be Represented That’s Also Possible on the Phone Because There Is the Original Procolor Mode and the Color Tuning Is Actually Very Well Done but More Importantly Since This Is the Poco Phone It’s Also Multimedia Based Because You Get Support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos Yes DV Support Is There Even on Netflix and When We Watched Dolby Version Content on This Phone It Does Pop Out HDR Gradation Wise I Would Say That It’s Not Premium Grade HDR Tuning Where You Know the Highlights and Shadows Are Controlled Very Well but It’s Still Serviceable It’s Pretty Good Talking About Which the Peak Brightness Can Now Go Up to 3,200 Nits and Even the Hbm Mode Brightness Can Reach Up to 1,400 Nits So When You Take It Outdoors It’s Pretty Legible Under Sunlight as Well Now with Doby Atos the Studo Speakers We Expected It to Be Better but They’re Average at Best You Know What Why Don’t You Take a Listen to It Right Next to These Three Phones These Two Phones and Let Me Know What You Guys [Music] Think Also This Phone by the Way Supports Dual Frequency GPS and Dual Band 5G So You Get L1 and L3 Support Both So Network Performance Has Been Very Solid for Us and 5G Performance Has Been Pretty Good We Also Have Wi-Fi 6 Support Bluetooth 5.4 and for Those Who Are Interested in Highest Bluetooth CeX Like Lsdc and Ldac Both Are Supported as Well.

Camera

POCO X7 Pro Review

Now It’s Time to Talk About the Cameras but Before That I Want to Give You Guys a Disclaimer Is That We Didn’t Have Enough Time to Do a Camera Comparison of All These Three but I Have a Fair Idea of How the X7 Pro Camera Performs Anyway with the X7 Pro What You Get Is a New Sony Lia 600 Sensor Which Is a 50m Sensor and an 8 Map Ultra Wide You Don’t Get the 2mp Macro That Was There on the Poco X6 Pro and the Selfie Camera on the Front Has Been Upgraded as Well Now in Ample Sunlight the Primary Camera Takes Decent Pictures the Detail Retention Is Okay but There Is a Lot of Visible Oversharpening Especially When You Look at the 100% Crop but the Low Light Performance on the X7 Pro Is Surprisingly Good You’ve Got a Decent Amount of Exposure and Most Importantly It Has a Decent Amount of Details as Well Despite the Oversharpening Yes There Is Some Noise but It’s Like Okay It’s Not Too Bad the Secondary 8mp Ultra on the Other Hand Is Pretty All Right at 100% Crop You Will Notice That the Images Don’t Have Too Many Details and in Low Light They Start Looking Like Oil Paintings Because They Just Don’t Look Very Good They Come Out Soft Now the Primary Camera the Color Sence Is Completely Off What We Noticed.

Is That It Is Really Not Capturing the Colors of the Scene Uh Sometimes It’s Oversaturated and It’s Misrepresenting the Colors as Well Especially When You Take a Look at This You Know Photo of the Vegetable Vendor and That’s Not It When You Compare the Ultra Wide and the Primary Camera Color Sample Side by Side There Is Definitely a Color Shift That Is Visible and Not Just the Colors Even the Skin Tones Are Completely Off There’s a Red Skin Problem Sometimes It Over Brightens It as Well So Yeah Not Really a Fan So Are the Portraits Any Good Well the Sedge Detection Is Kind of Off Just Take a Look at Shan’s Hair Here It’s Not Been You Know Represented Properly the Blur Also Looks Slightly Artificial and the Skin Tones in Human Portraits Are Entirely Off as Well the HDR Tuning While It Has a Good Control Over the Highlights the Entire Overall Picture Kind of Looks Off the Shadows Are Kind of Crushed and There’s a Little Bit of Oversharpening as Well Now with the Upgraded Selfie Camera We Thought the Selfies Were Fine but They Were Serviceable I Would Say Especially in Daylight and Low Light Obviously They Were Okay the Primary Camera Can Now Show 4K 60 FPS Video Up from 4K 30 FPS on the Poco X6 Pro Which Is Definitely Nice Also When We Were Shooting Videos of the Primary Camera We Noticed That There Was a Bit of a Jellying Effect with the Eis and It Looked Kind of Odd but Both the Selfie and the Ultra Cameras Can Only Do 108p 30 FPS and the Videos from Them I Felt Were Not Really That Good with Respect to Features We Noticed One Very Interesting Feature Where You Get a Dual Video Mode and Things Like Director Mode Basically Like a Pro Mode for Video Which Is Nice I Think You Might Want to Use the Pr Mode More So That You Have Control Over Certain Parameters and Take Better Videos Out of It All Right.

Software

POCO X7 Pro Review

So Poco Managed to Do Something Once Again Which Xiaomi’s Redmi Series Could Not Yes Hyper OS 2.0 Based on Android 15 for the Very First Time Has Been Introduced on the Poco X7 Pro Now We’ve Made a Dedicated Video on Hyper 2.0 and Its Features if You Haven’t Watched That Yet It Should Pop Up Right Now and We Tested Hyper OS 2.0 on a Xiaomi 14 Ultra You Get the Exact Same Experience on the Poco X7 Pro in a Mid-Range Phone That Kind of Software EXP Experience Feels Very Very Premium It’s Smooth It’s Fast It’s Very Fluid as Well the Animations Are Damn Cool Here but the Only Problem Is That Since This Is a Mid-Range Phone It’s Riddled with Blowes but Thankfully You Can Uninstall All of It You Also Got a Bunch of AI Features More Than What I Expected of Course You’ve Got a Lot of Image Editing AI Tools for Example You’ve Got AI Based Uh Image Expansion There’s AI Sky Replacement AI Cutout AI Eraser and a Lot More and There Are Other AI Features Like There’s AI Translation Which Can Do 29 Languages There’s Also AI on Call Interpret Which Works Okay and There’s AI Notes Based Features Like Summary Layout Proof Reading All of Which Work Well So Yeah a Premium Software Experience Is What You Can Expect from the Poco X7 Pro Which Is Definitely a Better Experience Than What You Get with Hypos 1.0 Based on Android 14 on the Redm Note 14 Pro Series.

Conclusion

Now Almost Everything on the Poco X7 Pro Is Kind of Incredible for Its Price Class You Get Class Leading Performance You Get Incredible Battery Life You Also Get Fast Charging the Design’s Kind of Nice It Slim It’s Compact It’s Got Ip69 Rating the Display Has Been Upgraded and More Importantly the Software Experience Feels Flagship Grade at Least if You You Know Set Aside the Bloww There’s a Butt and I’ve Already Mentioned It and That Is the Camera Experience Which Is a Bit of a Let Down Considering the Fact That I Actually Felt That the Camera Experience of the Poco X6 Pro Was Decent I Hope That Certain Updates in the Future Can Fix This Problem on the X7 Pro Despite That the PO X7 Pro Is Still an Easy Recommendation for Those Folks Who Do Not Care Too Much About the Cameras on Their Phone.
